Data Collection
In each semi-annual progress report, OVC requires that your program provide information for each of the following performance measures:
a. The number of and the percent increase in the number of faith-based victim counseling services provided
Also in each progress report, OVC requires an evaluation of the specific goals and objectives of your FB grant. You must identify the progress made towards the goals and objectives identified in your grant application. It is also advised that you include progress updates on your communications with State and Federal Victim Assistance Coordinators. It is an OVC requirement that your program make at least quarterly communication with the appropriate State VOCA Assistance and Compensation program administrators, the United States Attorney Victim-Witness Coordinator, and the regional FBI Victim Coordinator. See the State and Federal resource sections of this website for specific phone numbers and contacts for these agencies. You will be required to submit a final report at the end of your grant award documenting all relevant project activities during the entire period of the award. Since the FB grant is a three year grant award, this means you can expect to submit your final report at the end of the three year period. It is best to be prepared for this by maintaining accurate statistics and progress reports right from the beginning! For more information about the final report, see Special Condition Number 11 in your Award Packet. Unified Solutions can assist your program to develop a Data Tracking System and an internal Program Evaluation process, if you do not already have one. We can also teach how to interpret the information you collect so that services to your community are improved, new program initiatives are developed, and other needs can be identified.
