NVAA: Developing and Managing a Board of Directors Training. Your board of directors sets the tone and direction of your organization. How do you build a strong, diverse, and engaged board? And once you have accomplished that, how do you maintain member involvement? This training will provide a step-by-step guide to building an effective board as well as strategies for keeping members involved and accountable.
This Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC) training will be delivered online over the course of 4 weeks, beginning on January 29. Each week, except for the introductory week, will include a facilitated webinar.
All webinars are conducted from 3:00–4:15 p.m. (eastern time).
Introductory Week: Identifying and Cultivating Potential Board Members, January 29–February 2.
Week 1: Assessing Board Needs and Recruiting and Orienting Board Members, February 5–9, webinar on February 9.
Week 2: Involving and Educating Board Members, February 12–16, webinar on February 16.
Week 3: Evaluating, Rotating, and Celebrating the Board, February 19–23, webinar on February 23.
