Training Opportunity – SOAR for Native Communities (August 24th)

This webinar will equip those serving indigenous populations, including American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, to better understand the issues surrounding human trafficking and its impact on Native communities. It will identify resources relevant to indigenous populations and will support building responses to human trafficking in Native communities.

* Describe historic factors which contribute to the trafficking (both labor and sex trafficking) of indigenous populations
* Describe human trafficking in Native communities
* Identify indicators of human trafficking in Native communities
* Describe human trafficking resources relevant to Native populations
* Describe methods for honoring cultural practices while providing support to trafficking survivors
* Explain ways to begin building a response to human trafficking in Native communities
