Elder Abuse: It’s More Than Just Scams

Every year, June 15 is recognized at World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Several Florida Area Agencies on Aging have partnered together to take the opportunity to educate the community on the importance of elder abuse awareness and prevention.

During the workshop guest speakers will provide a general overview of elder abuse, its forms and how to report it, how to address financial exploitation, how to avoid scams and frauds carried out through the U.S. mailing system, and the tools you need to protect yourself.
