The Dear Tribal Leader letter outlines reporting requirements under the CARES Act. HUD is working to ensure that reporting systems will be available and in use before the January 10, 2021 reporting deadline. In addition, ONAP will offer a series of trainings to ensure that Tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities have the tools they need to report on the IHBG-CARES and ICDBG-CARES programs.
Lastly, please be aware of the highlight of the recent changes to Section 3 as a result of a Final Rule that was published on September 29, 2020. Beginning on November 30, 2020, the effective date of the Final Rule, Section 3 will no longer apply to Tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities.
