Partner Update. Each year, Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI) hosts full-time public health interns to explore public health careers by taking part in projects related to epidemiology, clinical services, public health, Indigenous evaluation, and research within urban American Indian/Alaska Native populations. Interns learn about partner organizations, including the Washington State Department of Health (DOH), where they tour the labs and shadow DOH public health professionals.
