Funding Opportunity: The National Institute for Justice is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the NIJ FY22 Evaluation of OJP Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI) Projects. CVIPI is an approach that uses comprehensive evidence-based intervention and prevention programs to reduce violence through tailored, community-centered initiatives. This includes efforts to address gang and gun violence, based on partnerships between community residents, law enforcement, local government agencies, and other community stakeholders. These multidisciplinary strategies engage with individuals and groups to prevent and disrupt cycles of violence and retaliation and establish relationships with individuals and community assets to deliver services that save lives, address trauma, and provide opportunities to improve the physical, social, and economic conditions that drive violence.
