This free Tribal Court Legal Advocacy Certification course is in partnership with the University of Wisconsin – Law School.  This course is a 6-month program which is comprised of two parts:

Part One: 20 weeks of online study and coursework.

Part Two: A 40-hour, week-long training in July 2021 that will either be delivered on-site at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin, or as an interactive intensive online course (depending on CDC COVID-19 guidelines in effect). Priority admission is reserved for advocates who work with American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Other individuals who show a connection to working with AI/AN sexual assault or domestic violence survivors will also be considered for admission. Successful completion of this course results in a certificate issued jointly by the National Tribal Trial College and the University of Wisconsin – Law School.
