In 2018, the Department of Justice held the Rural and Tribal Elder Justice Summit to enhance the ability of elder justice professionals to more robustly respond to the unique needs of older adults residing in rural and tribal communities through sharing of best practices and proposing innovative strategies to fill identified gaps in service needs. The Rural and Tribal Elder Justice Resource Guide was developed as part of these efforts. The Guide contains valuable information about federal programs, data, and links to other resources to assist Tribal victim service professionals serving Elder victims of crime.
