The RISE Summer Academy is a six-week program designed to help American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students become more competitive when applying to medical school. This program provides in-depth training and Indigenous learning opportunities to prepare scholars for the medical school application process.

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on March 10, 2021

Summer Academy Dates: Monday, June 28 – Friday, August 6, 2021

Eligibility Requirements:• Must have taken the MCAT but not scored well, or plan to take for the first time in 1-6 months of the Summer Academy end date• Plan to apply to medical school for either the Entering Year of 2022 or 2023 • American Indian or Alaska Native• Must submit official transcripts for all college coursework taken. Benefits:• This program is FREE to attend• Enhancements are covered by the program• Access and exposure to medical school faculty, leadership, and students• Coursework and exposure to become a more competitive applicant to medical school
