Archived Training: The Battered Women’s Justice Project hosted “The Child Custody/Child Protective Service Sandwich” webinar. Battered women and their children are often “sandwiched” between child custody proceedings and the Child Protection System. This webinar focused on the systemic structures, assumptions, and beliefs of family courts and child welfare that can result in barriers to safety and presented options for systemic change that address these barriers.
